The Sacred Spaces lecture that was previously scheduled in January has been rescheduled for May 3. All are invited as Second hosts the director of Preserve Chattanooga, Todd Morgan, at a speaking event on Sunday, May 3 at 4:00 p.m. He will be sharing “The Enduring Power of Sacred Spaces.” Historic area churches have been invited to attend, and a reception will follow.

May 3 | 10:00 a.m.

The Guardian Angel Reveal Breakfast will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Helwig Fellowship Hall. All Youth and their Guardian Angels are invited to gather for this annual event. Please see Suzanne for more information.

May 5 | 7:00 p.m.

Guten Tag! Are you interested in learning German? Come join other learners as Carol Davis leads a bi-weekly class every other Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Elmore Room. All experience levels welcome!

May 4 | 10:30 a.m.

The Morning Circle will meet at 10:30 a.m. on May 4. We will combine lessons 8 and 9. Please bring snacks for the UTC Hope House Coffee House. This will be our last Circle meeting until September 14.

May 6 | 6::00 p.m.

Our next evening Circle meeting will be Wednesday, May 6th, at 6:00 PM in the Helwig Fellowship Hall. This will be our final meeting before we reconvene in September. Please bring a favorite spring dish to share, such as a vegetable, salad, or cheese tray. Cathy will lead Lesson 9 of the PW Bible Study. We look forward to seeing you for an evening of fellowship and fun!

May 8 | 9:30 a.m.

All women are invited to join Second Steps on Friday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m. for a walk at the Sculpture Fields at Montague Park. Afterwards we’ll have coffee at Adelle’s Creperie on Main Street.

May 9 | 10:00 a.m.

All children and grandchildren are invited to a Mother’s Day party on May 9 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. We’ll make gifts for moms and celebrate our mothers, enjoy snacks, and have fun. Please join us!

Our youth are such a blessing in the life of Second Church! Please support them on May 10 as they participate in many aspects of our worship service. It will be a wonderful morning, don’t miss it!
