Mark your calendar now for our 2025 VBS, July 14 - 17 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. We’re continuing our Bible Heroes theme with all new heroes and adventures! Children aged K-5th grade are welcome to attend. We also need volunteers to serve in multiple areas; please see Carol or Pris if you are willing to lend a hand and have some fun!

July 9

Join us this Wednesday for our next Second Nature outing! We’ll travel north to Delano, TN where we’ll visit the Delano Farmers Market, Savannah Oaks Winery, Etowah train depot, and enjoy lunch at the Farmhouse Restaurant. We may also visit the new bridge at Bald River Falls. All are welcome, please see John Doyal for more information.

Beginning July 9

Join us in the Elmore Room at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights beginning July 9 as we continue with Season 5 of The Chosen. Two episodes, each approximately 1 hour long, will be shown each week. The Chosen is a non-sentimental portrayal of the life of Jesus and the people who knew him as presented in the four Gospels. e series is faithful to the Gospels but also tells a story that goes beyond the scripture, using historical context to help viewers imagine what life was like with Jesus. Popcorn and drinks will be served.

Starting in June we will journey as a congregation through Penguin Bloom, an inspiring true story of recovery, hope and courage as one injured bird and her human family learn to heal and celebrate life. On July 13, we’ll gather after church for lunch and a screening of the movie based on the book. Copies of the book are available in the church office.
